Evaluating The Zenith of All Devices: Samsung ATIV Tab 3 Vs. Microsoft Surface ... - Tech Thirsty

Running Windows 8 operating system, Microsoft Surface Pro has attested itself as an innovative tab that’s been a success. Following the bitter experience with ATIV Windows 8 tab, Samsung rolled out a ground-breaking device, tagged as Samsung ATIV Tab 3.


Announced this year on 20th June, the 10.1-inch ATIV tab 3 is touted as the slimmest tab made by Samsung so far. Its Super PLS LCD panels boast a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels at 155-ppi. The tab is powered by Intel Atom Z2760 chipset, built inside the Saltwell dual core CPU, covered at 1.8GHz. With 64GB of built-in storage, the ATIV tab 3 sports 2GB of system memory and a PowerVR SGX 545 GPU. Along with a 5-megapixel rear camera, the tab also holds a small camera at the front.


Considering the other 10.6-inch Microsoft Surface Pro, the tab comes packed with IPS LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 208ppi. Powered by 1.7GHz dual-core Core i5-3317U processor, the tab houses 1GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory and Intel’s HD Graphics 4000 GPU. Apparently, the device holds just 1-megapixel camera at the front.


Microsoft has kept the price tag of $900 for its Surface Pro, whereas Samsung still hasn’t announced the costing of its ATIV Tab 3.
