Sprint's Samsung ATIV S Neo launching on Aug. 16 for $149.99 - PhoneDog
Nearly two months after its initial debut, Sprint's Samsung ATIV S Neo will finally go on sale later this week. Sprint announced today that its second Windows Phone 8 device will launch on Friday, Aug. 16, for $149.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. Here's what Windows Phone fans on the Now network will be getting for their hard-earned $150:
- 4.8-inch 1280x720 display
- 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8930AA processor
- 8-megapixel rear, 1.9-megapixel front cameras
- 16GB storage, microSD card slot
- 1GB RAM
- NFC
- 2,000mAh battery
- Windows Phone 8
- Sprint 4G LTE connectivity
- International roaming capabilities with support for GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and UMTS/HSPA+ (1900/2100MHz)
The ATIV S Neo comes with a slightly higher price tag that the HTC 8XT, another Windows Phone 8 device that hit Sprint last month, but Samsung's offering also packs in double the built-in storage and a display that's both larger and higher-res. Regardless of their specs, it's good to see Sprint finally expanding its Windows Phone lineup, which up until very recently only consisted of the HTC Arrive (launched in March 2011). So, any of you Sprint folk planning to jump on an ATIV S Neo this weekend?
