Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 launched, sports a 5.25-inch 720p resolution display - Gigjets

Samsung has launched its second generation of the Galaxy Grand smartphone which is simply known as the Galaxy Grand 2. An improvement over the previous generation, the new Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 sports a 5.25-inch 720p HD resolution display and comes pre-loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.


The Samsung smartphone is further powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and includes 1.2GB of RAM. It further has 8GB of built-in storage which can be expanded using a microSD card to an additional 64GB.


The Galaxy Grand 2 has an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording, it has a secondary 2 megapixel front facing camera. It is a dual-SIM capable smartphone and supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/GLONASS connectivity. It comes with a 2,600 mAh battery which is rated to provide 10 hours of playback and 7 hours of talk time.


In terms of the software it will run a customized version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Apps like ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Health, Group Play, S Travel, S Translator, Samsung Link and Story Album will come pre-loaded with the smartphone.
