HTC 8XT, Samsung ATIV S Neo bringing Windows Phone 8 to Sprint this summer - PhoneDog

Sprint promised earlier this year that it would introduce its first Windows Phone 8 devices this summer, and today the carrier delivered. Sprint just announced that its first two Windows Phone 8 handsets will be the HTC 8XT and Samsung ATIV S Neo. The two devices are expected to launch this summer, with pricing set at $99.99 for the HTC 8XT and $149.99 for the Samsung ATIV S Neo, both of which include $50 mail-in rebates and two-year contracts. Here's what we know about the phones so far:

• HTC 8XT: 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1.6-megapixel front cameras, 8GB storage, microSD card slot, 1GB RAM, Beats Audio, BoomSound front-facing speakers, Windows Phone 8, Sprint LTE connectivity and an 1,800mAh battery


• Samsung ATIV S Neo: 4.8-inch HD display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front-facing shooter, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, 1GB RAM, NFC, global roaming support, Sprint LTE and a 2,000mAh battery

Sprint hasn't exactly been one of the go-to carriers for Windows Phone in the past, having launched just one Windows Phone 7 device back in March 2011. Any Windows Phone fans that have stuck with Sprint since then are being rewarded for their patience, though, because they'll soon have two shiny new phones available to them. I'll be sure to give you Sprint folk a shout once more details regarding the launch of the HTC 8XT and Samsung ATIV S Neo are released.
